Course Description: This course is designed to refresh and develop your skills in fundamental mathematics including algebra, graphing, unit conversions, ratios, proportions, geometry and problem solving. Emphasis is placed on developing problemsolving techniques to strengthen your reasoning abilities and restating problems mathematically. This course covers the component skills required in Math 2132.
This course caters to students enrolled in the School of Science & Chemical Laboratory Technician at Durham College in Ontario, Canada.
This course is being delivered free by a former Durham College professor.
Required Materials: A scientific calculator is required, preferably a Casio fx991ES Plus (↓).

An introduction to numerical computation. Emphasis is placed on scientific and engineering notation, the rule of significant figures, and converting between SI and Imperial units.
