How does aldosterone modify the chemical composition of urine?

Aldosterone increases absorption of sodium and excretion of potassium in the collecting ducts and to some extent in the distal convoluted tubules of the nephron of the kidneys.

Therefore urine will ultimately have fewer sodium and more potassium.
